A SMALL GARDEN GROWS IN SILVERLAKE - update
(See posts, April 11 and March 31, 2010) 

As our garden progresses, we should mention it is all organic. Fish emulsion and other organic fertilizers are used on all plants, edible and ornamental alike. We have listed the products we use, below.

Recently, we planted arugula seeds - already sprouting - red romaine lettuce, another Japanese Eggplant (already sprouting 2 vegetables), and several herbs, including parsley, cilantro, thyme and sage. 

The pole beans and tomato plants are beginning to flower.  So far, so good.

In the ornamental garden, we installed a spring-like fountain, sited below a statue of Buddha.
