Finding Stars
MIKKO LAGERSTEDT
Having one's breath taken away by an image might seem like hyperbole. However, this is what happened to me as I scrolled through the photographs of Mikko Lagerstedt.
When people describe the beauty of having seen something so moving in nature, they tend to describe that thing emotionally - as a shift of perception or as a physical shift within themselves. This is how I felt.
Mr. Lagerstedt is from Finland, a land of lakes and natural wonders, and his photographs display nature in its innately magical form. How many of us have the opportunity to see the night's sky free of human produced light? How many of us stop to really see a thing, anything?
